Ceylon or zeylanicum (Cinnamomum verum) is often referred to as “true cinnamon”. The name “Ceylon” cinnamon comes from its origin; Sri Lanka, historically known as Ceylon. True cinnamon was grown in Sri Lanka, but around the 17th century sailors crossing the Indian Ocean cultivated the plant in Madagascar. This is one of the few other places in the world to successfully grow true cinnamon outside of Sri Lanka.

How to use
